From Research to Action: A Healthy KC Webinar on Work-Life Wellness

From Research to Action: A Healthy KC Webinar on Work-Life Wellness

Wednesday, September 23, 2026 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (CDT)

Description

The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Healthy KC initiative partnered with UMKC’s Henry W. Bloch School of Management to study employees’ work-life experiences across the Kansas City region. Join us for an informative webinar unveiling the research findings and exploring how employers can use them to strengthen employee well-being, effectiveness and retention.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of:

  • The four dimensions of the work-family interface: work-to-family conflict, family-to-work conflict, work-to-family enrichment, and family-to-work enrichment.
  • How work-life conflict affects employee stress, well-being, job satisfaction, and retention.
  • The ways workplace culture and supervisor behavior can intensify or reduce work-life conflict.
  • Practical steps employers can take, including training supervisors, evaluating workplace norms, and implementing clear, supportive policies.
  • How work can become a source of confidence, fulfillment, and support that enriches employees’ lives beyond the workplace.

Registration is free. Join the KC Chamber and Healthy KC to explore how research-informed workplace practices can help employees thrive at work and at home.
