Lead to Read KC and Rainy Day Books are teaming up to host the first-ever Story by Story: THE KC Book Fair on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 2:30–7:30 PM at Park 39 (300 E. 39th St., KCMO).

This community focused event will feature:

• Books for purchase curated by Rainy Day Books
• Local food + drink vendors
• DJ Fernando
• An author visit by local author Adib Khorram
• Raffle prizes, including a signed Patrick Mahomes jersey

All proceeds support Lead to Read KC’s literacy programs serving 30+ area schools and distributing 4,000+ books each month.

“It's a fun, immersive way to celebrate stories while supporting the next generation of KC readers,” said Rhea LeGrande, Executive Director of Lead to Read KC.
