Foundations of Disability Inclusion: An Interactive Journey for Every Workplace

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (9:00 AM - 10:30 AM) (CST)

Description

Part of the 2026 Inclusive Leadership Workshop Series, presented by American Century Investments, Hallmark, and JE Dunn Construction. Our 2026 Presenting Diversity Sponsor is CommunityAmerica Credit Union.

Disability inclusion is more than a policy—it’s a day-to-day practice that shapes culture, strengthens teams, and fuels innovation. This four-part, highly interactive series, presented by the Center for Disability Inclusion (CDI) in partnership with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, provides practical, step-by-step tools for building workplaces where people can thrive.

In this fourth and final session, participants will engage in digital, game-based activities, case study analysis, and a panel of caregivers offering a range of perspectives on workplace supports and culture. Participants will explore how a caregiver lens strengthens workforce development and retention through representation and equity, workplace flexibility, empathy and belonging, innovation and productivity, and corporate reputation and social responsibility.

Designed for professionals across industries and business sizes, this workshop equips attendees with practical strategies and shared insights to embed caregiver perspectives into inclusive workplace practices.
